Representative Lynch is a Colorado Native, West Point graduate, and U.S. Army veteran. He was first elected to House District 49 (now 65) in 2020, representing Larimer and Weld Counties.

He is a results-driven Senior Executive with more than 26 years of success across the military, government, medical devices, human resources, apparel & fashion, and software industries. His broad areas of expertise include team leadership, 3D printing, manufacturing, marketing strategy, new business development, product development, M&A, business planning, executive management, project management, and contract negotiations.

Throughout his executive career, he has held leadership positions with organizations including the Western Heritage Company, Spectrum HR Systems, SHL-Aspen Tree Software Inc, and Stryker Medical.

Representative Lynch’s time in the legislature has focused on helping ease government tax burdens on Coloradans, bolstering our state’s diverse economic industries, and caring for Colorado’s large veteran community. His successful legislation signed into law includes extending and expanding tax credits for advanced industry investments, creating the innovative housing program, strengthening the state’s timber industry, and providing much-needed wildfire mitigation assistance to landowners. Representative Lynch also passed critical due process rights for Colorado veterans, as well as legislation to pave the way for the Air and Space National Guard in Colorado.

Rep. Mike Lynch led the legislative fight to make the possession of any amount of the deadly poison Fentanyl a felony in the state of Colorado. When it became clear that the Democrat majority were not going to zero, allowing dangerous amounts of fentanyl to still be legally possessed, Rep. Lynch requested his name be removed from the bill.

Representative Lynch attained his MS of Public Administration from the University of Colorado and his BS in Systems Engineering and Law from the US Military Academy at West Point. He holds US Army certifications as Airborne Qualified, Bradley Commander, and Master Fitness Trainer. Representative Lynch continually strives to embody the Army’s Core Value of Selfless Service in his duties to the great people of House District 65.
