Mike McMacken has served the Colorado General Assembly Republicans since 2019, starting as the legislative aide for the 2019 Senate Republican Caucus Chair. He has also worked as the Policy and Budget Director for the Colorado Senate Republicans before moving to his current role as Chief of Staff in 2025 for the Colorado House Republicans. A Denver native and proud Coloradan, Mike is a seasoned political operative with deep roots in Republican fundraising, digital strategy, and campaign management.

Before coming to the Colorado General Assembly he worked as the Deputy Director of Digital Fundraising at Majority Money, a GOP-focused consulting firm. During his tenure, colleagues praised his data driven budgeting, volunteer recruitment, and adaptability in fast paced election cycles. While in that role Mike built a reputation for pragmatic problem solving and conflict resolution while delivering wins for conservative causes across the nation.

At the Capitol, he oversees operations for the 22-member Republican caucus under Minority Leader Jarvis Caldwell, working with his staff coordinating policy, caucus communications, and legislative strategy. 

Outside the Statehouse, Mike is an active Coloradoan, in the spring and summer you can find him out exploring the wonders of Colorado and spending time working on his many hobbies, including cheering on Colorado sports, woodworking, and working on cars for friends and family.
